Background
Under European Commission's Lot 1 & in support of key Oslo Agenda & Lot 2 outcomes, the European Entrepreneurship Educators Programme (3EP) will deliver 3 European Annual Summer Academies using an inclusive delivery model that both develops pedagogy and supports institutional change (‘the entrepreneurial university’). The 150-180 3EP Fellows will be supported to become change agents, as an active network, sustained by an online platform. This creates a proven model for future localised delivery across Europe and will gather policy learning in a think-tank event.
The overall goal of 3EP is to “increase the number of participants to entrepreneurship education in schools and universities”; “improving the image of entrepreneurs in society and the attractiveness of entrepreneurship as a career choice” as well as “fostering creativity and innovation in education and training ”.
3EP objectives
The objectives of the 3EP European Annual Summer Academies (EASA) are to:
- create a pedagogically driven programme that addresses key needs in curriculum change
- create institutional change through curriculum change/institutional audit
- create 3EP graduates (Fellows) motivated to undertake ‘action for change’ (commitments)
- support 3EP Fellows to deliver change at all levels, supported by trans-national mentors
- create a legacy of online materials; European network (3EP Fellows); trans-national mentors; and, critically, a sustainable model of EASA delivery.
The 3EP vision is to support the creation a higher education sector across Europe capable of developing enterprising and entrepreneurial students, graduates and staff. 3EP will be highly inclusive; giving access to online materials and support, drawing upon the proven models of academy delivery to create a model that can be operated across Europe at regional, national, or trans-national levels.
The Summer Academies will be international, attracting contributors and participants from all countries participating in the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme – CIP.
Who is behind 3EP
3EP is run by four project partners based in UK, Finland, Denmark and Croatia, supported by a European wide strategic panel.

The European Enterprise Educators programme was astounding and intensive. Its practical approach, scope, and structure were very effective. Underpinned by sound academic theory, it has given me inspiration and confidence to deliver entrepreneurial programmes and also to communicate to academic colleagues the importance of entrepreneurship in higher education. I would strongly recommend the programme for academic staff involved in teaching of any discipline, and also for senior university managers to gain an insight into the importance of enterprise education in times of change. Completing this programme will give you, your students, and your institution an advantage.
